Head Coach Paul Rowley previews St.Helens' home clash against Warrington Wolves this Thursday night.
Looking back at last week’s loss at Headingley, the Saints boss felt his side’s discipline and game management after the break proved costly. While he was pleased with many aspects of the performance, Rowley admitted the Saints stopped playing with the same control they had shown earlier in the game and conceded too many penalties. The focus remains on improving the areas within our own control.
After six weeks away from home, Saints will finally return to the BrewDog Stadium this week. Rowley admitted it has been a long period on the road but said the squad is looking forward to being back in familiar surroundings after embracing the challenge of playing away while pitch work was completed.
Warrington arrive in strong form, and Rowley praised the Wolves’ squad, highlighting both their experienced players and young talent.
On the injury front, Lewis Murphy is expected to miss the next few weeks after suffering a recurrence of his elbow injury, while Harry Robertson is dealing with a minor quad setback but is expected to return next week.
Deon Cross has been included in the squad and is available for selection, Owen Dagnall has recovered from illness, and new signing Daniel Suluka-Fifita has settled in well since arriving at the Club and could debut against the Wolves.
