St.Helens forward George Delaney speaks to Saints TV following his 100th career match, which resulted in a defeat at home against Warrington Wolves.
Obviously, the result took the shine off the milestone, and Delaney’s focus after the game was firmly on the team’s performance and how they can improve ahead of next week’s clash with Huddersfield.
Delaney felt the Saints were good during the first half but were unable to maintain that level after the break.
Reflecting on his milestone, Delaney said reaching 100 career games is something he is proud of. Having made his debut what feels like only yesterday, he is now looking forward to building on that achievement and making many more appearances in the Red V.
He also spoke about his role in the squad, saying he is happy to do whatever is asked of him, whether that is starting games or coming off the bench.
George also encouraged supporters to get behind the team once again, praising the atmosphere they created and saying their backing will be important as Saints look to bounce back.
