Over three months on from breaking his leg in a match against Bradford, Jacob Host made his return to action by coming off the bench in the Saints' away win over the Bulls. Hosty spoke to Saints TV after the game!
The back-rower thanked the Club’s medical staff for helping him through a long recovery and admitted it was difficult to see the finish line at first, but getting back into training with the squad made his return feel even more special.
Talking about the game against Bradford, Host felt Saints made life hard for themselves early on through poor discipline, but once they sorted that out, they took control and finished the game strongly.
During his time out, Host kept busy by filming his recovery vlog, saying it gave him something to focus on away from rugby and kept him honest to ensure he was doing all he could to return as soon as he could.
Looking ahead, Jacob believes Saints can kick on in the second half of the season, and shared the squad’s excitement for next weekend’s Magic Weekend and the chance to play at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium.
