Head Coach Paul Rowley has confirmed his 21-man Saints squad that will take on Catalans Dragons on Friday night in Round 19 of the 2026 Betfred Super League.
R Whittle Ltd. sponsors St.Helens First Team 21-man squad announcements.
Kick-off is scheduled for 8pm at the BrewDog Stadium on Friday night.
St.Helens will be out to make a response after a bitterly disappointing home defeat to Toulouse Olympique last time out.
Catalans come into this one searching for form themselves, having lost their last three fixtures to Leeds, Toulouse and Warrington.
The Saints and the Dragons have met twice already this season, with St.Helens recording 36-4 victories on both occasions. The first came in Round Three in the South of France, before the Red V claimed another convincing win at the BrewDog Stadium to book their place in the Challenge Cup semi-finals back in May.
It’s a quick turnaround from Sunday’s match for Paul Rowley’s men, as they search for a victory to move back into the Betfred Super League playoff spots.
SQUAD NEWS
Coach Rowley makes two changes to the squad that was named for Round 18, with two more Saints Academy players called into the 21-man team selection.
Outside back Jack Campbell and half-back Tyler McGann have both impressed for our Under-18s team in the 2026 season, and are called into the senior squad for the very first time. Like Billy Keeley and Cole Marsh, who have also come through our youth system, if selected they would make their official Super League and St.Helens debuts.
Shane Wright, who missed out last week’s match against Toulouse, steps out of the squad, as does Owen Dagnall following the sad news that he has suffered an ACL injury, prematurely ending his 2026 season.
The following players are unavailable for selection due to injuries: Mark Percival, Deon Cross, Jonny Lomax, Alex Walmsley, Daryl Clark, Matty Lees, Shane Wright, David Klemmer, George Delaney, Matt Whitley, George Whitby, Jake Wingfield, Lewis Murphy, Noah Stephens, and Owen Dagnall.
Whilst our team has a whole host of injured players unable to play at present, this presents an opportunity for our youngsters, such as Matty Evans and Chris Matagi, who made their debuts last weekend.

Paul Rowley will preview the match with the media at his weekly press conference on Wednesday afternoon, and will offer the latest update surrounding his squad. Supporters can watch it back in full on Saints TV.
