Up Next: The Saints go to The Brick

The highly anticipated fourth meeting of the 2026 season between St.Helens and Wigan Warriors is coming up this Friday, 24th July 2026.

The Derby takes place at The Brick Community Stadium in Wigan, with kick-off pencilled in for 8pm.

Following a morale-boosting against-the-odds victory in Round 19 over the Catalans Dragons, the Saints are now preparing to head over Billinge Hill to face our oldest rivals on their turf.

St.Helens, despite having seventeen senior First Team players missing due to injury, came from behind to beat the French visitors at the BrewDog Stadium 34-18, with our youngsters stepping up to shine. Jack Campbell was the star man on the night, scoring twice on his debut after only finding out he would be playing that morning.

The win over Les Dracs on Friday night moved the Red V back into the top six, as the race for the play-offs positions continues to heat up.

Saints and Wigan have met three times so far this year. Paul Rowley’s men claimed the bragging rights on Good Friday with an epic, memorable fightback before the Warriors responded with victory in the Challenge Cup semi-final. Three weeks ago at Everton FC’s Hill Dickinson Stadium, a bruising blockbuster Derby brought the curtain down on 2026’s Magic Weekend, with the Warriors just able to cling on to the win, 16-14. This Friday night promises to be another explosive encounter between two fierce old foes.

We want to see as many of the Saints faithful supporters there in the away end backing our men all the way!
