Head Coach Paul Rowley has named his 21-man St.Helens squad ahead of this Friday night's Derby clash against Wigan Warriors at The Brick Community Stadium.
R Whittle Ltd. sponsors St.Helens First Team 21-man squad announcements.
The match is scheduled for an 8pm kick-off in Round 20 of the Betfred Super League 2026.
Saints head into this game on the back of a spirited victory over Catalans. Despite having seventeen senior First Team players missing due to injury, came from behind to beat the French visitors at the BrewDog Stadium 34-18, with our youngsters stepping up to shine. The win over the Dragons on Friday night moved the Red V back into the top six, as we head into the final seven rounds of the regular season.
Saints and Wigan have met three times so far this year. Paul Rowley’s men claimed the bragging rights on Good Friday with an epic, memorable fightback before the Warriors responded with victory in the Challenge Cup semi-final. Three weeks ago at Everton FC’s Hill Dickinson Stadium, a bruising blockbuster Derby brought the curtain down on 2026’s Magic Weekend, with the Warriors just able to cling on to the win, 16-14.
This Friday night’s match is shaping up to be another explosive clash between two formidable old rivals.
We want to see as many of the Saints faithful supporters there in the away end backing our men all the way!
Assistant Coach Lee Briers, a proud St.Helens native, knows just how much The Derby means to all involved. Following on from the brutal and bruising Magic Weekend meeting just three weeks ago, Briers is expecting another explosive affair.
