In the Saints’ home match against Warrington Wolves, our team lost Jonny Lomax to a fractured jaw, and Tristan once again showed his worth with some instinctive play.
Moving into the halves, his first moment in the key position in that fixture, he received the ball from dummy half. About 10 metres out from the tryline, he saw a gap, spotted the fullback out of position, and kicked ahead to regather the ball and score a beauty.
The Saints Women went to Edge Hall Road to face old foes Wigan, and The Derby produced a thriller.
St.Helens almost came from behind to nick the result, but the hosting Warriors managed to hold on.
Saints youngster Mia Drescher stepped into the halves and showed some real class, her try especially near the line fooling some Wigan players to get herself on the scoresheet.
