The Super Four is the new stage of the BWSL season and will determine this year’s Grand Finalists, with the team finishing top of the table earning automatic qualification and home advantage for the Grand Final. The sides finishing second and third will then meet in a play-off, hosted by the second-placed team, to determine who will face the League Leaders’ Shield winners in the Grand Final.
St.Helens last time out comfortably beat Leigh Leopards Women 58-6 in the middle of July ahead of the international break.
The Warriors came to our ground in strong form, top of the Super League table and undefeated so far in the 2026 season.
Saints Women and Wigan had met twice already this season; the Warriors won the Challenge Cup Final at Wembley with a 54-6 victory that truly stung the team. St.Helens responded with a much-improved performance in Round 6 of the regular season, fighting to the very end away at Edge Hall Road, but the hosts narrowly held on for a 32-28 win.
