Up next: Cas come to town

This coming Saturday afternoon, St.Helens will host a double header at the BrewDog Stadium, headlined by the Betfred Super League clash against Castleford Tigers.

Saturday will serve as our Saints Community Development Foundation fixture and Inclusion Round for 2026, with members of our Wheelchair and LDSL teams all taking part in the day.

It promises to be an exciting summery Saturday, with our Academy also up first against Wakefield Trinity on our home turf.

With a bigger and better HALO FanZone open from 12pm too, and then re-opened after the First Team game too, you can make even more of your match day and enjoy a great day out!

  • St.Helens Academy vs Wakefield Trinity
    • 12pm KO
    • Academy Play-Offs – ‘Middle Four’
  • St.Helens vs Castleford Tigers
    • 3pm KO
    • Betfred Super League – Round 24

Our First Team are looking to follow on from an impressive 16-46 away victory against Wakefield last Saturday at the DIY Kitchens Stadium, which saw Tristan Sailor grab an excellent hat-trick.

Eamon O’Carroll will be wanting to build from that superb second half and take that into this week in hope of getting his second victory as Interim Head Coach, with the home crowd advantage the Saints will be going into the game with energy and confidence.

Similarly, the Tigers will be coming into the fixture with a bounce after their win over Hull FC 14-18 last Friday night. Castleford currently find themselves in 9th place with eight wins this season, two places behind the currently seventh-placed place Red V who will be viewing this fixture as an important one to keep our hopes to finish in the Play-Offs spots alive.

Castleford arrive aiming to do the league double over the Red V for the first time since 1990/1991. Of course, the two sides met in the fourth round of the 2026 Challenge Cup with the Red V coming out victorious 32-8 at the OneBore Stadium.

All of this should lead to a thrilling game at the BrewDog Stadium on Saturday afternoon!
