Interim Head Coach Eamon O'Carroll has named his 21-man St.Helens squad who will take on Leeds Rhinos on Friday night at the BrewDog Stadium. This match will double as our Willowbrook Hospice Takeover fixture, highlighting the great work the local charity does.

It is a double header at the BrewDog Stadium on Friday night, with our Women’s and First Team both in action.
Our Women’s team knows to expect a tough two weeks against the Valks, with this home clash first, followed by a visit to the LNER Community Stadium a week later. This will also serve as the final regular home match for some Saints too, with captain Jodie Cunningham and Emily Rudge set to retire following the 2026 season.

The Red V are on a two-match winning run following victories away over Wakefield Trinity and an impressive first half against Castleford where they led 30-0 before losing a player to a red card. A determined second half saw them secure the crucial two league points, to stay in the hunt for the play-offs places.
Leeds, currently top of the table on points difference, visit our turf looking to maintain their spot at summit, with Wigan hot on their heels. Brad Arthur’s men dominated York last Sunday, winning 66-16, so Leeds will come to St Helens in good form.
The Saints and the Rhinos have only met once this season, back in early June at Headingley. The hosts overturned an 8-16 half-time deficit to win 24-16.
Eamon O’Carroll’s men are eager to avenge that result and maintain their pursuit of the top six spots. It has all the making for a blockbuster showdown at the BrewDog Stadium on Friday night.

There are two changes to the squad that was victorious over Castleford Tigers in Round 24, with Jackson Hastings beginning his three-match penalty notice, and Saints Academy youngster Oscar Knox stepping out of the selection.
It is fantastic to welcome two senior leaders back into contention, with the legendary Jonny Lomax named for the first time in the 21-man squad since a jaw fracture back in June. It’s made all the more special following the announcement on Tuesday night that the 2026 season will be Lomax’s final campaign as a professional player, with the modern-day great set to retire at the end of the season. Our forward pack is boosted too with the return of David Klemmer, who is working his way back to playing following three broken ribs suffered in the Saints’ match at the Hill Dickinson Stadium as part of Magic Weekend.
