St.Helens R.F.C. is thrilled to announce our latest group of Scholarship players, who have joined the Club and begun their work ahead of the 2027 season!
Our newest Scholarship intake joins the Saints after successful seasons with their respective community clubs. This group represents 11 different community clubs, highlighting the breadth of talent across our region and the strength of the youth pathways that feed into St.Helens.
The Club would like to express our gratitude to the community clubs for their dedication to nurturing the next generation of talent. The passion for Junior and Community Rugby League is a significant strength of our sport.
Within our Men’s First Team ranks, 23 players during the 2026 season had previously been involved in the Saints’ youth development system, with seven Academy players making their First Team debuts during the campaign.
We are proud of our history of developing homegrown players and are excited to help our new Scholarship intake take the next steps in their Rugby League journeys.

The Saints’ Scholarship is a two-year commitment, and our new Scholars began their Training Programme in September, training at our Cowley Training Facility, which is also used by our Men’s and Women’s First Teams, Reserves and Academy sides.
St.Helens fans will get the chance to welcome the new Saints Scholars at our first home game of the 2027 Betfred Super League season, when the players will be introduced on the field at half-time.
