Saints' Heritage #1178 Jonny Lomax joined us this morning at the BrewDog Stadium for the latest Qualitech Reminisce Cafe of the year!
A one-club man, the former Saints Captain, joined us on Wednesday morning, following his retirement from the sport at the end of the 2026 season, where he retired alongside his long-time team-mate, Mark Percival.
Lomax made 391 appearances during his time in the Red V, following his debut against Wakefield Trinity on the 27th March 2009. He scored 144 tries during his time at the club, also kicking 132 goals and seven drop goals in that time.
During his time at the club, he won 5x Super Leagues, 4x League Leaders’ Shield, 1x World Club Challenge and 1x Challenge Cup.
He also played eleven times for England, making his debut against France in 2016 and four more for Great Britain, with his debut for them coming against Tonga.
During the interview, Lomax discussed plenty of things throughout his life. He talks in depth about the injury that almost ended his Rugby League career before it had really got going in High School, before talking through his memories during his time at the club.
He also looks ahead to life after Rugby League and what is next for him and his family now that his playing career has come to an end.
