St.Helens R.F.C. Chairman Eamonn McManus has lent his voice to encouraging fans to support new club captain Matty Lees by attending his Testimonial match against Castleford this Saturday.
Eamonn stated:
No one has been more committed to the cause of St.Helens over the last decade than Matty Lees.
His bravery and commitment on the field of play during a period which included four consecutive Grand Final wins, a Challenge Cup, and a World Club Challenge win on Australian soil, has been there for all to witness.
A Testimonial match is an opportunity for fans to show their personal appreciation for a player who has not only shown great loyalty to the Club, but has also gone above and beyond in his dedication to the success of the Club.
On Saturday, let’s all show him the support that he richly deserves.
We also have on show a number of our great new signings as we look to get back to the top of the Super League competition in 2026. Let them know what it’s like to play in front of a Saints crowd and experience the support that will be behind them all this season.
I’m looking forward to seeing you all at the game as we support Matty and also get a taster for the season ahead.
The Saints will face Castleford Tigers this Saturday at the BrewDog Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 3pm!
