In a first outing under new coach Paul Rowley, we would be looking to hit the ground running as we went with a strong team in this one, getting much needed match minutes into the squad, and slotting in all of our new signings.
Castleford, also under the stewardship of a new coach, would be looking to see what their new signings would bring as they saw a whole host of new players join the club, and take to the field for the first time together in this one.
The occasion was as important as the game in this one though, as it was a celebration of our new captain Matty Lees, as he began his Testimonial year with this traditional curtain raiser!
