St.Helens Women have confirmed the squad numbers our players will wear for the 2026 Women’s Rugby League season!
Head Coaches Craig Richards and Derek Hardman have named a 30-woman squad for the upcoming campaign, featuring four new additions and four players stepping up from the Under 19s Women’s Academy.
Paige Travis returns to the UK after confirming her move back to the Saints following a season with NRLW side Parramatta Eels. The back-rower comes home to the Club where she made her name in Women’s Rugby League and will wear the #14 shirt in 2026.
New recruits Mikayla Gillespie (#27), Jadine McVernon (#28) and Emme McVernon (#29) have been allocated their first Saints squad numbers, as have the Academy players who move into the First Team environment.
Ever-presents in the Saints Women’s U19s last year, Olivia Leach (#23) and Zoe King (#24) have been handed their first senior squad numbers, along with impressive prop Tracy Ojeaburu (#26).
Mia Dresher (#22) is currently in Australia as part of the Saints’ Female Player Exchange with the Redcliffe Dolphins. Having made her official St.Helens debut last summer, she will return to the UK in April with her new squad number.
Several players have taken new squad numbers for the upcoming campaign. Rebecca Rotheram returns to the #1 shirt which she last wore in the 2023 season, which comes as a just reward for the outside back who shone in the fullback position last season.
Saints Women’s Players’ Player of the Year for 2025, Rachael Woosey, has been awarded the #3 shirt following outstanding performances throughout 2025 in the centre position.
Our current Young Player of the Year, Erin McDonald, will now wear #16, while Luci McColm (#18), Alyx Bridge (#20) and Hollie Bawden (#21) also move up in the squad list.
Our #11 remains unchanged; however, following her wedding last year, Shona will now feature her full married name, Hoyle-Holdsworth, on her shirt in 2026.
