St Helens will travel to face Castleford Tigers in the Fourth Round of the 2026 Betfred Challenge Cup, and the fixture details have now been confirmed.
The Red V and the Tigers will face off at The OneBore Stadium at 6pm on Saturday, 14th March 2026.
This will be the first Challenge Cup meeting between the Saints and the Tigers since the 2021 Final at Wembley Stadium. St.Helens emerged victorious with a 12-26 win, securing our first Challenge Cup trophy in 13 years.
Throughout this year, St.Helens R.F.C. will be celebrating its heritage from the 1996 season. In that historic year, the Saints achieved a Double by winning both the inaugural Super League competition and the Challenge Cup. Thirty years later, the Saints and Castleford will meet again in the Fourth Round of the competition, just as we did in the 1996 Cup campaign.
Paul Rowley’s men secured their place in this stage with a professional performance against Workington Town, and scored 17 tries in a 2-98 victory.
The winners of the Fourth Round will advance to the Quarter Finals, bringing them closer to securing a spot in the Final at Wembley on Saturday, 30th May.
Our away match tickets for this upcoming fixture will be on sale very soon, so please keep an eye on the Saints’ social media channels and website for when they are made available.
