Head Coach Paul Rowley speaks to Saints TV as he prepares his St.Helens side for a demanding test away against Catalans Dragons on Saturday.
Rowley confirmed that Jonny Lomax faces a spell on the sidelines after dislocating his wrist, while Nene Macdonald is still being assessed as the issue is not as bad as was first feared.
Focussed firmly on the task ahead, the Saints boss is expecting a strong challenge from a Catalans team that has undergone significant change since last season, with the likes of Toby Sexton and Lewis Dodd adding direction in the halves, while hooker Kruise Leeming is another familiar presence within their spine.
Despite their recent defeat to Bradford, Rowley anticipates a response from the French side, particularly in front of their ardent supporters. Saints are under no illusions about the challenge awaiting them in Perpignan, in a hostile environment.
Rowley has also highlighted the importance of resilience and consistency from his own side, praising the toughness and versatility within the squad as they look to build momentum early in the campaign.
