As first formally revealed in Saints & Proud - our free Digital Match Programme, St.Helens R.F.C. is delighted to confirm that Merseyside's airport - Liverpool John Lennon Airport - has become a kit partner of the Club!
Our partnership with Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) continues to go from strength to strength and is now in its fourth season of working together.
LJLA’s logo, which includes the famous John Lennon self-caricature, will take pride of place on the left sleeves of the St.Helens First Team away playing kits in the 2026 Betfred Super League season.
Supporters on match days have seen over the past three seasons the Liverpool John Lennon Airport Half Time Crossbar Challenge, and the winners of that competition have been able to fly around the world, including one winner who went all the way to New York in the Christmas of 2024. There will be more fantastic opportunities for Saints Members to win trips thanks to Liverpool John Lennon Airport, with their Crossbar Challenge continuing at half time in 2026.
Throughout its 90-plus year history, the airport has been Merseyside’s aviation gateway, playing an important role in transporting people and goods across the country, continent, and world.
Liverpool John Lennon Airport is also known for its “Faster, Easier, Friendlier” experience, characterised by its relaxed, hassle-free experience. This has been evidenced by LJLA winning the Airport of the Year award at the Aviation Industry Awards UK in late 2025.

Yvonne Millett, Saints’ Commercial Sales Manager, added: “On behalf of everyone at St.Helens, we would like to say a big thank you to all involved at Liverpool John Lennon Airport for their ongoing support. To see their iconic branding on the Saints’ kits this season, starting with last week’s trip to Perpignan, will be wonderful, and we’re excited to keep working together.”
Tom Woods, Liverpool John Lennon’s Marketing Manager, said: “We are delighted to enter into another year of partnership with St.Helens R.F.C, once again partnering Merseyside’s airport with Merseyside’s premier rugby team.
“We are especially proud to have secured a spot on the player kits for the 2026 season, and thank St.Helens for their partnership and support in helping to get this over the line.”
