St.Helens to face Wigan in Challenge Cup Semi-Final

St.Helens will face Wigan Warriors in the Semi-Finals of the 2026 Betfred Challenge Cup, with the tie to be played over the weekend of May 9th and 10th.

The draw for the final four teams in the competition was made at the DIY Kitchens Stadium at half-time of the last quarter-final between Wakefield Trinity and Wigan Warriors. St.Helens were drawn against the winners of the Trinity/Warriors clash, and it was Wigan who edged past the West Yorkshire side, 22-26.

It’s an exciting match-up, as all Saints/Wigan meetings are, but to the victor will go the spoils as the victor will progress into the Betfred Challenge Cup Final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, 30th May.

The full fixture details, including the date, venue, and tickets, will be confirmed in due course.

OUR CUP JOURNEY SO FAR…

St.Helens’ run in the Challenge Cup began in early February in the Third Round, with a long trip up to Workington Town for our first meeting with the Cumbrian team in 30 years. It was a dominant victory over Town, 2-98, with 17 tries scored.

Another away trip followed in the Fourth Round, this time to Castleford to take on the Tigers, and the Saints were gritty to earn an 8-32 victory at The Jungle.

In the Quarters, Paul Rowley’s men welcomed Catalans Dragons to the BrewDog Stadium and put on a professional performance to win 36-4 and earn a spot in the final four.
