The team’s focus is on staying consistent as they prepare to face the York Knights on Friday night. Briers talks about the injuries we have been dealing with and how, despite that, the Saints have kept routines the same behind the scenes, which has helped them deal with the disruptions.
While there is still work to do, such as aiming to improve our attack, Briers is more concerned with picking up points than how they come. With new systems still developing, he expects that improvement to come over time.
York are expected to provide a tough test, and they have shown how competitive they are this season, with a mix of experienced players and emerging talent. Briers knows Saints will need to match their physicality and attitude.
There is an air of positivity around the squad, with no new injury concerns from last week for the first time this year, and some players close to returning. Competition for places is increasing, which can only be a good thing for the squad.
