Young Saints Cole Marsh, Alfie Sinclair and Luca Walsh have joined Whitehaven on short-term loans.
The three young St.Helens players have all featured for our Reserves side in recent weeks, but will now get the chance to play for the Betfred Championship side.
Sinclair featured for Haven on loan last week in their away match against Dewsbury Rams which ended 22-12 in favour of the hosts.
This week, the Cumbrian team take on Swinton Lions at Heywood Road on Sunday afternoon at 3pm, and Cole, Alfie and Luca are all in contention to play in the fixture.
Whitehaven Head Coach James Newton spoke about our three Saints and said: “It’s great to get Alfie, Luca and Cole over the line for this week, they have all cCome through a great system at St Helens.
“Alfie was excellent last week both in defence and attack and played some really big minutes for us, showing great leadership.
“Cole will come in and strengthen us through the middle and Luca will cover the half position which we having been trying to cover for couple of weeks now with Jack Newbegin being sidelined. We are going to be covering players with knocks right up until Sunday so these guys will be a great boost to us.
“I would like to thank Saints for supporting us and welcome all three of them to the club.”
