Saints fans who are heading to Liverpool this weekend, make more of your visit and check out our two official Magic WKND pubs!
With Betfred Super League’s summer festival coming to Merseyside this weekend, the Club is pleased to confirm that we have worked with two pubs, The Bridewell and The Denbigh Castle, both based in the city centre, where Saints fans can meet up all weekend long!
The two pubs are owned by St.Helens fan Dominic Hornsby, who has kindly agreed to give both pubs a ‘Magic Makeover’ for the weekend, with all staff working on Saturday and Sunday wearing Saints apparel, and the decor of the establishments will be emblazoned with St.Helens flags, shirts and memorabilia.
All seven Super League matches across the two-day event, six of which take place at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium just down the road, will be shown live in both pubs too, with doors open from 12pm on Saturday and Sunday.
THE BRIDEWELL
WHERE: 1 Campbell Square, Liverpool, L1 5FB
This Grade II listed Police ‘bridewell’ dates back to the mid 19th century, and has been lovingly converted into a pub, with the cells now used as seating areas that provide an unusual focus for the downstairs bar, with original heavy doors and hatches to help send you back in time!
The Bridewell stocks Cask beers including local beer and a range of craft keg and continental beers on sale. There is an outdoor patio area inside the walls of this historic Liverpool gem.
The Bridewell is situated close to the Liverpool One shopping area, the Albert Dock and the riverfront.
THE DENBIGH CASTLE
WHERE: 10 Hackins Hey, Liverpool, LS 2AW
Nestled in one of those quirky streets, Hackins Hey, off Dale Street at one end and Tithebarn Street at the other. Hackins Hey is one of the oldest streets in Liverpool.
The Denbigh Castle (its original name from over 200 years ago) also features quirky artefacts and pictures adorning the pub that may reveal a thing or two…
There is a mix of German lagers, cask & craft beers and an extensive spirit range alongside a vegan wine list and of course the warmest of welcomes.
