Injury Update: Daryl Clark

Daryl Clark will sadly miss the rest of the 2026 season.

This news was revealed by Head Coach Paul Rowley in his weekly press conference ahead of the Saints’ home clash against Catalans Dragons.

Saints’ star hooker sadly picked up an ankle ligament injury from St.Helens’ bruising and brutal Magic Weekend game against Wigan Warriors a fortnight ago. Following further scans conducted this week, an operation has been recommended, which will now be booked in as soon as possible.

Our #9 has been a standout player in the campaign to date, scoring five tries, setting up a further eight across 18 appearances.

It comes as a further blow to the Saints squad, who are now without fifteen senior First Team players due to injuries heading into this next round of fixtures.

Daryl Clark commented: “It’s not the news I wanted to hear, and it’s frustrating, but I’ll get the surgery done and get ripped into my rehab to try get back ASAP.

“Thanks to the fans for their well wishes, I’ll see you soon.”

The Club will provide Daryl with our full support, and everyone involved at St.Helens eagerly anticipates his return to the field.

Daryl Clark is proudly sponsored by Vertical Lift Services North West at St.Helens R.F.C.
