It’s a busy Saturday for the Club this week with three Saints teams in action. Our Men’s First Team and Men’s Academy are taking to the field at the BrewDog Stadium for our double header, whilst our Women’s First Team will be travelling to Edge Hall Road Community Stadium.
Closing the week’s fixtures our Women’s reserve team will be Hosting the Huddersfield Giants at the BrewDog stadium.
SATURDAY
Academy vs Wakefield (H)
The Academy play-offs continue, and it’s going to be an exciting fixture in the ‘middle four’ when our Under-18s host Wakefield Trinity.
The Red V will be looking to follow up from a great away victory last week against Hull KR, 12-26.
In the previous meeting, the Saints’ Under-18s edged a thriller 28-26 and will be looking for the same result this week.
It’s the opening match of our double header at the BrewDog Stadium on Saturday afternoon, so why not come along to the ground earlier and cheer on our next-gen?

Women vs Wigan (A)
This week our Women’s team will be facing Wigan Warriors in the third round of the Betfred Women’s Super League – Super Four.
The Saints Women will be trying to bounce back from the previous derby meeting between the two sides, which the Red V unfortunately lost 44-6.
Whilst the Warriors Women are yet to be beaten in 2026, the Red V’s last visit to Edge Hall Road Community Stadium was a close, tight contest which Wigan managed to cling onto for a victory, 32-28, back in June.
St.Helens last Saturday managed to fight back from 0-16 down against Leeds to get a late lead, but two tries at the death for the Rhinos saw them take home the spoils.
So there is plenty of motivation for the Red V to go over Billinge Hill to get a result in another derby day fixture.

First Team vs Castleford (H)
On Saturday afternoon, our First Team are back at the BrewDog Stadium to take on Castleford Tigers in Round 24 of the Betfred Super League.
Eamon O’Carroll will be wanting the Red V to build on what was a very impressive 16-46 victory over Wakefield on Saturday, which stunned the home crowd at the DIY Kitchens Stadium.
The last Saints/Tigers meeting was one to forget for the Red V as they slipped to a 30-10 defeat in Round 12 at the OneBore Stadium.
As the race for the play-offs only continues to ramp up, every result will count. With a big match day planned, we hope to see plenty of the Saints faithful loud and proud in the stands.

Women’s Academy vs Huddersfield (A)
Finally, to wrap the week’s fixtures up, our Women’s Academy will be taking on the Huddersfield Giants.
Last time out, our Women’s Academy won 20-0 at Portico Vine against York Valkyrie and made it eight wins for the season so far!
Can they make it nine when they head to West Yorkshire?
