O’Carroll says his side are looking forward to the challenge of facing the current league leaders on Friday night, with the Saints aiming to build on their recent form.
Praising the team’s togetherness and connection in recent weeks, O’Carroll knows they will need to improve again against a strong Leeds side. He believes St.Helens can take confidence from their recent performances, while respecting the quality of their opponents.
With Jackson Hastings unavailable following his three-match penalty notice, O’Carroll is considering his options and admitted some changes to the team may be needed. Whilst he wants to keep disruption to a minimum, his decisions will be with the aim for what is right for the team.
O’Carroll continues to be impressed by the way the Saints’ young players have stepped up in recent weeks, whilst the senior members of the squad are also helping them develop.
Despite all the media talk about St.Helens’ bid to make a late break back into the top six and the play-off places, O’Carroll says the focus remains firmly on Saints and our own performances.
