Interim Head Coach Eamon O'Carroll has named his 21-man St.Helens squad that will face Hull KR this Friday, 11th September 2026, at the BrewDog Stadium.
R Whittle Ltd. sponsors St.Helens First Team 21-man squad announcements.
The Saints host the reigning Betfred Super League champions for the final regular-season round of the 2026 competition, and kick-off is scheduled for 8pm.
While Friday night’s fixture will be the final match of the Saints’ season, it will also be an emotional occasion, as it will be the last time we see two modern-day greats of the Club play for our First Team. Jonny Lomax and Mark Percival are set to make their final appearances in the Red V, and bring the curtain down on their outstanding playing careers.
Saints fans are encouraged to stick around after the match as we celebrate the careers of Lomax & Percival with an on-pitch presentation, the traditional end-of-season Club photo in front of the West Stand, followed by a guard of honour for our two greats.
Hull KR come to our house sitting sixth in the league table, knowing they will be in the play-offs and could move up to fifth; however, the Robins cannot earn a home match for the knockout stages, so will come to our town looking to go into next week positively.
SQUAD NEWS
Coach O’Carroll makes three changes to the squad he named for Round 26, with three senior Saints stepping back into contention for selection on match day.
Curtis Sironen and Jed Cartwright are back available following injury. Sironen returns for the first time since mid-July, when he was hospitalised for a couple of weeks due to a knee infection, and has been working his way back to full fitness. Cartwright suffered a quad injury in late July and is now also back in the mix to feature.
Daniel Suluka-Fifita has served a one-match penalty notice and returns to the Red V squad.
Our Saints stepping out for round 27 are Shane Wright and two of our youngsters: Alfie Tate and Tyler McGann, who was named our Under-18s Player of the Year for 2026.
