A huge Saints welcome for 7 in 7: The Grand Finale

Over 2,000 of the St Helens community came to the BrewDog Stadium, with thousands more lining the streets, to welcome Sir Kevin Sinfield and his team as they completed the penultimate leg of the 7 in 7: The Grand Finale.

Since last Sunday, Sir Kevin and his 7 in 7 team have embarked on their seventh and final annual challenge to raise awareness and funds for the MND community in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

Starting in Hull, Sinfield has run an ultra marathon every six days straight, and will finish his seventh and final one on Saturday evening. The challenge has seen Kevin visit all 12 English Super League stadiums on his way to Old Trafford, and he will arrive at the Theatre of Dreams before kick-off of the 2026 Betfred Super League Grand Final.

Fans packed the South Stand of the BrewDog Stadium to give Kevin and the team a warm St Helens welcome, alongside members of the Saints First Men & Women’s teams, and our Foundation Cheerleader Dance Team the Saints Angels.

Sinfield thanked the crowd and reminded all of the reason for the challenge: to help raise funds to fight Motor Neurone Disease.

St.Helens’ Captain Matty Lees handed over to Kevin a special 7 in 7 printed Home Shirt, and Chairman Eamonn McManus shared on behalf of all at the Club a big thank you and well done on the challenge and funds raised so far.

If you can donate to the cause, please do so on via the 7 in 7: The Grand Finale donation page.

Donations will be passed on to: Motor Neurone Disease Association, Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association, My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, MND Scotland, Leeds Hospitals Charity and The Darby Rimmer MND Foundation.
