Into week two of the 2026 Saints Academy Tour, proudly sponsored by ASW Solicitors, one of our new First Team recruits has been training with our young players!
The very first time that Sean O’Sullivan got to wear the famous St.Helens crest has come over in Sydney! Our new halfback wanted to meet members of our Academy team, as well as our youth development staff who are part of the tour, and share some of his own experiences with our players.
Following the weekend’s match against Balmain – which you can read all about by clicking here – the Saints have been hard at work on their rehab, with a very short turnaround until the next game on Wednesday afternoon, when the Saints Academy will be facing the Central Coast Sports College team.
It was mutually beneficial for Sean, who was taught some ‘Pommy slang’ so he can try and fit straight in when he arrives over in the UK for the start of pre-season in November!
O’Sullivan said:“It was good to meet the young lads and introduce myself, and it was a really good training session and it’s lovely to see how excited they all are to be over in Australia.
“I’m super excited to get over, I’ve been getting training sessions in for myself and when I heard about the Saints lads being over here and in Sydney, I thought it’d be a great excuse to jump in and join in with the drills.”
We look forward to welcoming Sean over here in England, where the weather will be slightly less warm than Sydney is currently experiencing…
