St Helens Women
12 | Emily Rudge
Back Row

Born in Warrington, Rudge played her community rugby with a local Warrington side before joining Thatto Heath Crusaders, playing a big role in their success.
As a teenager, she was selected to play for England for the first time, and she has gone on to establish herself as one of the best to pull on the national shirt, playing at four Rugby League World Cups, most recently in 2022. She would also serve England Women as Captain for five years between 2017 and 2022, including during the 2022 home World Cup.
When St.Helens declared they were to form a Women’s team of our own, Emily signed up to pull on the Red V and she has been an outstanding servant to the Club.
A three-time Woman of Steel nominee in 2019, the treble-winning season of 2021, and in 2023, Emily has been a huge factor in the Saints Women’s achievements.
Emily Rudge is the Heritage Number 18 for the St Helens Women.
