Matty Evans

Our bulldozing young prop has been with the Club since he was 14, joining our Under-16s Scholarship programme, and he would then step up into our Under-18s Academy, where he has continued his strong progression.

In his two Academy years, Matthew made himself a mainstay in the Saints Under-18s front row, playing 19 times and scoring two tries. Evans was also selected for the Lancashire side in the 2025 Academy Origin series.

Chances to keep developing came in the 2025 season too, with Matthew making three appearances with the Saints Reserves.

Ahead of the 2026 pre-season commencing, Evans was confirmed to be progressing into the First Team environment, getting to work and train consistently with seasoned forwards in the Saints squad.
