A quick report on which of our St.Helens players have been out on dual-registration or loan this past weekend (1st & 2nd March 2025).
Four Saints were on out on duty for other clubs over the weekend that has just gone, so here is your recap on how they got on!
Konrad Hurrell, George Whitby & Owen Dagnall – York Knights 32-20 Halifax Panthers
Three of our Saints featured for Kyle Eastmond’s Halifax side in the 1895 Cup, ultimately bowing out of the knockout competition despite a spirited fightback.
It is a third week running for Hurrell playing for Halifax who lined up in the centres and made a terrific last-ditch tackle to prevent a late York four-pointer. Whitby made his Halifax debut in the halves.
The opening twenty minutes were all York, however our young outside back Dagnall provided a much needed spark and scored a brilliant try, evading a few York men, kicking ahead for himself and then diving onto the ball for his first professional try!
22-4 down at the break, the Panthers let an early one in during the second stanza which looked to maybe be all she wrote for the match. However, three quick fire Halifax scores made it 28-20 heading into the final twenty minutes.
York furthered their lead though, making Panthers’ task tougher but there was clearly plenty of spark between the two teams with some flare ups and them sharing two sin bins. It makes their meeting in the Championship next week once again at the LNER Community Stadium one to look forward to.

Tee Ritson – Goole Vikings 16-34 Barrow Raiders
Following the news of Ritson re-joining the Raiders on an initial two-week loan, he was given a hero’s welcome by the Barrow supporters and he returned that affection with a try on his first match back playing for the Cumbrian club.
Barrow beat League One’s new club Goole Vikings with a strong second half showing, which included Tee’s score just after the hour mark.
