Head Coach Paul Wellens has confirmed his 21-man Saints squad for this Thursday's Betfred Super League clash against Catalans Dragons, which is the second match of a double header of action and kicks off at 8pm.
St.Helens First Team 21-man squad announcement is sponsored by St Helens Flooring.
First up at the Totally Wicked Stadium on Thursday night, our Under 18s side are taking on the Black & Whites in Round 5 of the Academy 2025 season. Our youngsters won their last match against Castleford, 34-0, putting on a strong defensive performance, and are now looking to make it three wins in a row following victories over Wigan away and the Tigers at home.
Come and see our developing talents, cheer them on and see some potential future First Team Saints!
Our First Team Saints return to the Totally Wicked Stadium for the first time since early April and three matches on the road, which unfortunately have ended in defeat, and being out of the Challenge Cup meant that the team had a week with no fixture.
Hungry to get back playing and turn around recent form, Wellens’ men have been hard at work training as we look to make it two wins over Catalans Dragons in the 2025 season. Our first meeting with the French side was an edge of your seat thriller, settled by just one point with Jonny Lomax kicking two drop goals, the second on which ensured a first league win at the Stade Gilbert Brutus since 2018.
Matches between St.Helens and Catalans are always intense, fiery and physical battles with a rivalry really developing in recent years. Thursday night’s match promises to be more of the same, as both sides fight to get an important victory.
Paul Wellens will be speaking to the press to give the latest on his Saints squad later o today, with his weekly press conference scheduled for this afternoon. Saints TV subscribers will be able to watch in full later on today.
