OUTSIDE THE STADIUM

Prior to Friday night’s game at the Totally Wicked Stadium, we had activities going on around the ground.

Outside the Redvee Bar in the South Stand we had our community events take place. The tent was set up with all of our usual games taking place.

PRE GAME

We then headed into the stadium. Rainford High visited the Lounges to talk about their big victory at Wembley a couple of weeks ago.

Just after 7pm, all of our Cheer & Dance teams performed their routines in front of the North Stand by the side of the pitch.

HALF TIME

During the break, Rainford High paraded their trophies around all four stands at the Totally Wicked Stadium. They recently won at Wembley but also won in our Schools Finals too, which took place at the Totally Wicked Stadium last month.

THE GAME

Two Kyle Feldt penalties put Saints into a 4-0 lead heading into the break, but a great last ditch tackle from Harry Robertson had denied Leeds the first try of the game. In the final minute of the first 40, Deon Cross saw a gap and exploited it to give the Red V a 8-0 lead at the break.

Leeds hitback early in the second half as Riley Lumb crossed in the corner. Owen Dagnall then scored his second try in as many games as Saints moved the ball left from a scrum inside the Leeds 10. Feldt converted, before Tristan Sailor wrapped the game up with a try down the right edge in the final minute. 18-4 Saints won at the Totally Wicked Stadium in our first home game in over a month.
