A 58-0 victory saw Saints make it three consecutive wins against the Red Devils in the Betfred Super League in 2025!
First Half
Saints took the lead nine minutes in. Salford kept Harry Robertson out just short of the line. On the last tackle, Kyle Feldt picked the ball up from dummy half went down the short-side and reached out to score. He was unable to convert his own score, 4-0 Saints led.

The hosts tried to add more scores. Again the hosts went right and Robertson put in a kick which forced Ryan Brierley to concede a dropout.
24 minutes in, Saints had a second try. The Red V moved it through the hands down their left edge, Owen Dagnall broke and dove over to score in the corner. Feldt couldn’t convert from the touchline, 8-0.

Salford tried to hitback as they shifted the ball left but Nathan Connell was unable to collect the pass and it found touch.
The hosts had a third try before the break. Tristan Sailor went down the right edge and got an offload out in the tackle to Feldt and he raced away down the wing to score in the corner. Jonny Lomax took over the kicking duties and converted, 14-0.
In the closing stages of the half, Saints had a fourth try. Moses Mbye found Morgan Knowles on his inside and he broke through a gap to score under the posts. Lomax added the extras, 20-0.
That was the final action of the half, 20-0 the Red V led at the break.

Second Half
Nine minutes into the second half, Saints had try number five. Knowles carried the ball down the middle he found Sailor who got away an offload to Daryl Clark, and he raced 40 metres to score under the posts. Lomax added the extras, 26-0.

The hosts pushed for more points. Sailor came down the left edge this time before being dragged down. Saints went left the next play but Dagnall’s attempted pass back inside was deflected into touch.
Midway through the second half, we had our first trip to the video referee. Saints again camped on the Red Devils line and this time moved it from right to left, Dagnall was forced to kick a low pass first time but chased the ball and pounced on it to score in the corner. The try awarded after a brief review. Lomax nailed the conversion from the left touchline, 32-0.
Another try quickly followed. Robertson got the ball down the right edge and cut inside, he found Sailor in support and he broke through a gap to score. Lomax converted, 38-0.

Saints thought they had another just after that. A high kick by Lomax was collected by Feldt, he offloaded in tackle to Sailor who then passed to Jake Burns who scored under the posts. After a review it was awarded. Lomax added another two points, 44-0.
Burns had a second two minutes later. Salford went short and it didn’t pay off, Saints marched downfield and Burns saw a gap from dummy half under the posts and pounced to score. Lomax maintained his 100% kicking record for the afternoon, 50-0.
Then it was time for try number ten. Saints moved the ball from left to right, Sailor threw a dummy and breezed through the gap to score his second try. Salford tried to challenge the call but it was unsuccessful. Lomax missed the kick, 54-0.
There was still time for an eleventh try. Saints moved the ball through the hands down our right edge, Sailor throwing a cut-out pass to Feldt who grabbed his third try of the contest in the corner. Lomax couldn’t convert, 58-0.
