Then on Saturday it’s a busy day of action with our Women’s team over in West Park, Leeds for the 2025 Women’s Nines Competition, and then in the afternoon the First Team take on Hull FC in the Betfred Super League.
All the key information for our teams can be found below!
Reserves vs Hull FC (A)
Ian Talbot’s Saints Reserves will be looking to bounce back following a defeat in The Derby last time out.
So far in 2025 our young side have won four and lost four, with four more matches in the campaign to go and this weekend will face fourth placed Hull FC who are on a four-match winning run (all the fours…).
The Black & Whites last time out beat local rivals Hull KR, 28-12.

First Team vs Hull FC (A)
The Saints are going to be facing the Black & Whites for the first time in the 2025 season on Saturday afternoon.
Paul Wellens’ men are on a three-match winning run after an important result over Leeds at home, and sandwiched between that were both home and away victories over Salford. Last Sunday, the Red V put the Red Devils to the sword with a professional performance to win 58-0.
Last season, St.Helens did the double over Hull FC winning on the road and at the Totally Wicked Stadium, which also saw the Club win the Steve Prescott Cup for 2024. The annual contest between the Saints and the Black & Whites honours the legacy of the late great Steve Prescott MBE. The Cup is played for over the regular season meetings between Saints and Hull FC, with the team who has the highest aggregate score across the home and away fixtures wins the trophy.
Both St.Helens and Hull FC are in the top six of the league table heading into Round 17, with the race for the Play-Off places hotting up every point will matter, especially against the teams also fighting to be in the post-regular-season competition.
- Saturday, 5th July 2025
- Kick-off at 3pm
- MKM Stadium, Hull, HU3 6HU
