It's time for you to cast your vote for The Turmeric Co. Women's Try of the Season 2025! We've picked four of the best try of the month winners for you to pick from!
Rejoining the club for the 2025 season, Shona Hoyle is up first with this outstanding try against her former club the Leeds Rhinos. A lateral run along the line from Zoe Harris got the defence moving, and a flat ball to Shona on an angle saw her cut through the line, and race 30-meters to touch down.
Up next, Dani McGifford,and Is there a better team to score a long range try against? Away to Wigan, and with the score locked at 0-0 with ten minutes on the clock, the ball found it’s way out to the left, and just before the halfway line, Rachael Woosey passed it on to Dani, who with meters to cover, and defenders to beat, raced away to touch down in the corner!
Another of the new girls, Caitlin Casey, up next. Away to Leeds and with the game as good as lost, we had one last set play on the Leeds line. 78-minutes on the clock, and 20-16 down on the score board, the ball the ball found its way out to the right through the hands, and we capitalised on an overlap for Caitlin to score!
Finally, this try from Beri Salihi against Huddersfield. A carry from Erin McDonald saw her being pushed back, but she managed to find a game breaking offload to Katie Mottershead who attakced the line and broke through, but with defenders closing in and the fullback up, a great push support from Beri Salihi saw her get the ball and she her pace to touch down!
