Alfie Tate

Alfie was initially not selected to be a St.Helens Scholarship player; however, he was offered an eight-week trial with our Under-16s as an opportunity to develop. Knowing this was an opportunity to prove himself, Tate made those weeks count, and at the end of the trial, he was asked to remain with the Club.

Coming through our Scholarship and Academy ranks, Alfie impressed in the middles over his two years with the Academy, making 21 appearances and scoring twice. He also earned Lancashire Academy selection for both of the Origin fixtures in the summer of 2025.

Tate has also played for the Saints Reserves, playing four times for our team ahead of joining the First Team environment ahead of 2026!
