19| Katie Mottershead
Katie is a hooker or half back who has been involved with the squad for a few years now, before making her first team debut away at Barrow in the Challenge Cup last March.
Born in Whiston on 20th November, Mottershead’s amateur clubs include Halton Hornets and Thatto Heath Crusaders.
Mottershead progressed through the England DiSE programme – the RFL’s government-funded Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE) which is a talent pathway for 16 to 18 olds hoping to perform at the highest level in the women’s game.
Katie’s rugby league idol is James Roby, as he is very experienced and she learns a lot from watching him.
Katie Mottershead is the Heritage Number 42 for the St Helens Women.
