Willie signed for the Saints from Canterbury Bulldogs and played the latter half of the 2003 season.
A strong-running centre, he has 13 New Zealand caps and played at Old Trafford in the 2000 World Cup Final.
Talau is the archetypal big-game player, scoring four tries in his three Finals for Saints and it was because of this form that he narrowly missed out on the Lance Todd Trophy in 2004.
A hard worker with great defense, Willie has to be a candidate for 'best defensive centre' in the game at the moment.
