Capped 14 times by New Zealand, Francis Meli is one of the best wingers in the competition.
Notching up an impressive 34 tries in 56 games to date, he has formed a strong partnership with fellow Kiwi Willie Talau and is capable of utilising space to score points from all areas of the field.
Meli has the Australian play-off record of scoring five tries in a match, against Canterbury Bulldogs in 2003 and ended that season with an impressive 23 tries from 27 games, and was named New Zealand Warriors’ Player of the Year.
Francis signed an extension to his contract last season and will be one of Saints ‘go to’ players this year.
