'Flanno' signed in June 2007 on a three-and-a-half year contract from Sydney Roosters.

He is a utility back rower, who can also play stand-off and centre.

He made 121 appearances for the Roosters and played for Queensland on 10 occasions.

“Everyone I spoke to said Saints were the most professional club over in England and obviously they have been at the top of their game for the past few years,” Chris explained. “I decided if I was to come over to England then I would want to be at a strong club.

“I always wanted to come over to the UK, but wasn’t sure when. This opportunity came up and it felt like the right time to come over.”

2008 promised to be a big year for Chris as he will have fully recovered from a broken leg sustained in 2007.
