DAY 5 from the Academy Tour of Australia.
Mike Rush, Saints Head of Youth, writes…
The lads had a rest day today following their win over the Wests Tigers.
The players spent the early part of the morning enjoying a cold water recovery session in the pool. They then headed into the city for a day of rest and relaxing with a walk around the Sydney Rocks.
For once the players had a good day on the common-sense front however it would go a miss if there wasn’t at least one good tale to tell.
While having dinner tonight which also doubled up as a birthday party for Tom Roughley we had the pleasure of listening to Brad Ashurst’s thoughts on sealife.
Brad asked Danny Yates (one of are cleverer kids): “Do you think fish have a life like the cartoon Nemo?”
At first Danny looked at Brad as if he was joking but Bradley really did want to discuss the possibility that Nemo could real…
Derek Traynor now has the great task of discussing in detail the way of sealife with our big front rower!
The players have continued to represent this great club in a excellent manner and all at home should be proud of the them.
We are heading up to Newcastle to watch the test match so the staff and players are in for a early start in order to get a training session before departure.
Enjoy the photos of the trip, as you will see the lads are enjoying every minute of the trip.
