Rush: Pleased With Reaction

MIKE Rush was pleased with Saints’ come from behind win over Salford on Friday night.

His side overturned a 10-0 deficit to win 32-10 and keep the pressure on the top three in the Stobart Super League.

“You can’t underestimate those conditions, they were horrendous,” the Acting Head Coach said after the match. “We were a little frustrated in the first half especially with the way we went about a few things. We came up with errors in yardage and gave too many penalties away.

“But in the second half we picked up and we’re really pleased to have took home the two points.”

He continued: “We didn’t say much at half time just that we had to do the little things well and stick to what we do best. We knew we could win the game.

“We got into a real grind and won the battle for territory and after that, when we got the chance to post some points we took them. That was important.

“There are certainly a lot of positives we can take away from the game.”
