RUGBY League World Cup 2013 is less than 80 days away, and final preparations are being made to make it the greatest show the sport has ever seen.
And to help compliment the thrill and excitement of the competition, we are pleased to announce an audition for the Official RLWC2013 Dance Team.
Rugby League cheerleaders from across the land are encouraged to try out and help us form a brand new sports dance team that will perform at games during the tournament.
But the audition is not exclusive to Super League Cheerleaders.
Any dancer – boy or girl – is welcome to attend the audition, which will be held at Liverpool One shopping centre on Saturday September 7.
During the audition, dancers will be taught a short routine and will be required to perform in small groups on stage
Applicants must be aged 16 or over and confident dance performers.
“It would be great to have a squad that consisted of dancers from each squad,” said team co-ordinator Sarah Elston.
“Whilst we hope this will be something Rugby League cheerleaders will jump at the chance to become involved, we do not want to exclude anyone else that dreams of performing at such a big event like Rugby League World Cup 2013.”
