Academy Move Into Fast Lane

TODAY was a one training session day for the lads and this gave them a chance to take in the city and, on the way home, a night of Go Karting which has become one of the highlights on tour, writes Mike Rush.

I first must inform all that Mr Martyn, for the second trip in a row, was disqualified by the FIA for overtaking in the no overtaking zone.

It was at this moment that my own concentration went and was the start of my own decline.

It left the oldest racer Mr Derek Traynor, the Head Coach, to take the crown as the 2013 champion

From the players we had some good performances; Kieron Herbert who had the quickest time of all the players, with Danny Abram and Joe Ryan not far behind.

The entertainer of the night was an easy decision with James Nicholl taking the award.

He hit everything that moved and spent more time on the grass than the tarmac.

He was pulled in for a talking to but as he left he claimed Dave Eccleston had told him he was ok …

(No one should very listen to Dave Eccleston)

The overall result from a great night out is as follows:

Winner – Derek Traynor
2nd – Kieran Herbert
3rd – Danny Abram
4th – Tommy Martyn – Later disqualified

Overall entertainment winner – James Nicholl

Most disappointing performance – Mr N Kilshaw
