SAINTS Community team have been working with St Helens College to provide the tools they need to develop coaches.
The educational institution’s media students visited Langtree Park to help film a coaching masterclass with Keiron Cunningham and Sean Long.
St Helens Coach Development Lead, Craig Richards, said: “I was very impressed with the setup David and his team created and the time in which they completed the filming.
“I was highly appreciative of the work that The College has put in and look forward to our next project creating resources that will help further develop our coaches in the community.”
Curriculum Leader in Media David Briscoe added: “This has been a fantastic opportunity for our students. Not only does it assist with putting into practice what they have learnt on the course but is vital for them gaining key employability skills and feeding their hunger to secure a successful career in the Media industry working with a world famous club such as St.Helens R.F.C.”
For student and Saints fan Abbie Housley, to work with Saints for her college work is a dream come true.
She says: “I’ve always been interested in media; I use this with my love of rugby and have made several videos including a montage of highlights of the Saints and Wigan Grand Final. To meet my rugby heroes and package them up in film is such a fun job to do. I love my course.”
