Tour Diary Day Two

DAY 2 – With the bodies still trying to re-adjust to the time zone it was an early start for everyone, straight into the everyday routine of breakfast in the accommodation block. The staple breakfast of porridge, toast, cereal and fruit juice, which has served us well on all previous tours, was lapped up and enjoyed by all, except Jordan Olmez, who eventually overcame his fear of eating anything wet by fighting his way through his bowl of porridge.

A first training session was followed by a walk around the city, visiting the famous opera house and centre point.

Runconian Elliott Jenkins, feeling at home in the shadow of the Runcorn-like harbour bridge, also confused the perfect lawns of the botanical gardens with the artificial turf at the Select Security Stadium, asking “is this grass really real?”

Next up was centre point, Sydney’s tallest building… The fear on the faces of Jordan Gibbons and Callum Hazard was a picture as they both firmly believed that we were all going to bungee jump our way down to earth!

A second training session allowed the lads to go through some positional drills before we went off to a local steakhouse for dinner.

The early trend setter on the trip has to be staff member Eric Frodsham. Eric, having to keep his delicate complexion under wraps, has had all the lads jealous with his stylish choice of headwear.
