Recovery Day!

DAY 6 – After last night’s heroics and long bus journey home the lads were left to have a well-earned lie in after only arriving back well after 1am.

The day began with a 9am recovery session in the swimming pool; a much needed easy swim to help ease aching bodies after such a physical contest. The lads were reluctant to jump into the cool waters, none more than Levy Nzoungou.

As a reward for their performance the lads were treated to a couple of bacon and egg barms, done Aussie style on the BBQ, for breakfast before hopping on the bus for a ride to Manly.

Rushie also rewarded the staff for their hard work by treating them all to Magnum ice creams!!

The lads were given a few hours of free time in the beautiful resort, some choosing to do some shopping or relax on the beach and others decided to play in the waters.

While staff enjoying some lunch, our resident medic, Johnny Skinner, having done his homework on NRL clubs, asked: “So where do the famous Manly Sea Turtles play?”

We then returned to the Panthers Leagues Clubs for dinner before heading to the driving range.

Spending hours practicing on Thatto Heath stood Brad Pinder in good stead as he looked a natural with club in hand… on the other hand Jordan Gibbons looked like he was playing with the club upside down!

The recovery day complete, it’s again time to start focusing on game day as they always come around thick and fast… next up Central Coast on Wednesday.
