LOUIE McCarthy-Scarsbrook has been recognised in the Training and Education Team of the Year.
The initiative, between RFL and the charity Rugby League Cares, encourages and rewards full-time players who take steps to prepare themselves for life after Rugby League by undertaking training in academic and technical subjects before they reach retirement age.
Louie undertook a L3 Plumbing course at Warrington Collegiate.
Each year the RFL will appoint a panel to declare a Team of the Year, following on from a similar innovation in the NRL, which recently named its own Academic Team of the Year with some of the leading stars in that competition gaining selection.
