Vea Looking To Restore Pride

ATELEA Vea says Saints have to regain their form quickly if they are to have any hopes of being successful this season.

“It’s a steep hill and you can quickly fall down it once you are in bad form,” he said. “Once you get it and get a hold of it, it can put you in good place heading into the back end of the season.”

Til, like his teammates, are smarting from the loss to Hull FC at the weekend – and want to begin to put things right when Saints take on Salford this Friday .

“They (Salford) will be hurting too after their cup defeat,” he continued. “The short turnaround is good for us as it means we can get back in to the game. We can’t afford to take too long thinking about it and what could have been. We have to restore some pride in the team.

“Personally, I can’t wait to get back out there and have another go.

“I’m feeling fit and happy I am back from injury. It is mentally challenging coming through an injury and I feel for those boys who are going through it now.

“My job now is to hit some form and keep that going into the season.”

Tickets for Friday’s First Utility Super League tie with Salford Red Devils are now on sale from the Ticket Office at Langtree Park.
